The only thatched roof in a busy town.
A tranquil oasis.

Loved my visit to this remarkable, traditional, lakeside pub.
Hard to believe it opens just one day a week!

Paddy's Bar, Tourmakeady

Thatch Inn, Crossmolina

36. Thatch Inn, 2 Chapel Street, Crossmolina, County Mayo
A Marginal Thatched Pub as only the sturdy front porch is thatched.
Liked the upstairs "snug".

Thatch Inn, Crossmolina

Still Bar, Knockaculleen

37. Still Bar, Knockaculleen, Main Street, Dromore West, County Sligo
Another Marginal Thatched Pub with the front porch thatched once again.
It is a substantial, rather elegant porch though.

Singing Pub, Clontallagh

42. Singing Pub, Clontallagh, Downings, County Donegal
Well renovated, isolated rural pub that little resembles a 1985 photo hanging in the bar.

Singing Pub, Clontallagh

The Purty House, Ramelton

43. The Purty House, Ramelton, County Donegal
An unbelievable pub recently created from a tin roofed barn that once stored potatoes.
Open just three years.
A conversation focused pub.

The Purty House, Ramelton

Thatch Bar, Ballyshannon

44. Thatch Bar, Bishop Street, Townparks, Ballyshannon, County Donegal
A wonderful Thatched Pub survivor.
Loved finding handpumps, even if now only decorative.

Copper Coast Inn, Kill

57. Copper Coast Inn, Kill, Kilbarrymeaden, Waterford
Something different now, a pub recently renovated with American money.
Purely local trade at the time of visit but this pub has an eye to the future.
The "lounge" bar, for instance, has a concealed door and finding and opening it will require solving a clue.
Until very recently known as Dunphy's Bar.
