Redevelopment faces this once popular Dublin local.
And finally, as a conclusion, (ignoring other thatched pubs that have sadly not made it to 2026
or have been regretfully overlooked), the wonderful Farmhouse Bar, Clogheen.
It had its bar in the kitchen and toilets across the farmyard.
I visited this pub on a walk across Ireland in 2008.
This legendary thatched pub was an inspiration and pulled its last pint around 2012.
